Working Together

Board of Directors

On behalf of everyone here at Friends of Sharon Art Studio, thank you so much for your interest in board service. We know that those with an interest in being a leadership volunteer have many choices. In our San Francisco community, there are an array of remarkable organizations engaged in the important work of making our world a better place through the arts. We are honored knowing that you are interested in us.

The Path to Leadership

Please reach out so we can have an informal conversation about your personal and professional values related to organizations dedicated to the arts. We'd like to learn about your skills, attributes, and what you would bring to our board. If you haven't already visited the studio we'll schedule a tour of the space and answer questions you may have about board service.

Becoming a member of the FOSAS board is a commitment to helping increase the scope and impact of the art program at Sharon Art Studio. We want to know what motivates you and how you think about our organization so that we can help to create an excellent board experience for you.

We are committed to diversifying the pool of director applicants by actively seeking individuals from underrepresented groups, including people of color. We are taking steps toward creating a more inclusive leadership team. We prioritize a board that represents the neighborhoods we serve. Thank you again for your interest in our work and for taking the time to explore all that board membership entails. The next step is to speak with the Executive Director, Nicki Guard. We look forward to connecting.
