A Public Arts Center for San Francisco
Sharon Art Studio is San Francisco's largest public community arts center, offering affordable opportunities for people of all ages to learn, create, and connect through the arts. Located in the historic Sharon Building in Golden Gate Park, the Studio has served generations of San Franciscans since the 1960s through classes, exhibitions, events, and creative community programs. Today, thousands of children, teens, adults, and seniors participate each year in ceramics, glass, jewelry, drawing, painting, and other artistic disciplines.

Art Builds Community
Sharon Art Studio is more than a place to take classes. It is a welcoming creative community where people learn, share ideas, celebrate artistic growth, and build lasting connections.
Throughout the year, students, instructors, artists, and visitors come together through exhibitions, open houses, artist talks, special events, and hands-on experiences that strengthen our creative community.
Whether someone is taking their first class or has been part of the Studio for decades, Sharon Art Studio offers opportunities to participate, contribute, and belong.
