These half-day camps meet Monday through Thursday for 3-weeks and are for teens and tweens interested in exploring a variety of ceramic techniques, including hand building, throwing on the wheel, surface texture, and glazing. Previous experience is not required, but projects require the ability to focus and follow multi-step procedures. Attendance is mandatory each day and important to the completion of artwork. These half-day camps meet Monday through Thursday for 3-weeks and are for teens and tweens teens interested in exploring techniques in jewelry and metal arts. Both beginning and intermediate level students are welcome. Beginning students will be introduced to the basic skills of professional jewelry making and metalsmithing, and returning students will dive deeper into techniques to create unique pieces such as pendants, earrings and rings as well as 3-D objects made of copper and brass.
