Student Spotlight: Alexandra Costa

Meet Sharon Art Studio member and student Alexandra Costa. She has been coming to the studio since 2024  and has been taking classes in fine arts– specifically in acrylics, pastels, and water soluble wax crayons. We recently interviewed her for our Student Spotlight series. In this interview, Alexandra discusses with our Program Manager, Cassandra Sechler, her creative process, medium, inspirations, and what keeps her coming back for classes!

Here’s a sneak peek at a few of the questions!

Q: You’ve taken multiple acrylic classes at Sharon Arts—what keeps you coming back, and how has your work evolved since you started?

A: I like Moo, the teacher, because she gives individual attention but also gives me the space to work when I need it. She provides us with good music, which also makes me feel more creative and inspired. I also like the students in her class, who are very supportive and super talented themselves. I feel like my work has gone from mediocre to ok. I'm getting better with using colors, like warm tones and cool tones for light and shadow.

Q: One of your instructors mentioned that taking her class changed your life. If you’re comfortable sharing, we’d love to hear more about what that experience meant to you.

A: Yes that was Moo. I started with her figure drawing class using pastels and I had never taken a class like that. I realized how complicated and beautiful the human body is and learned to use colors I never would have thought of using, such as blue or green to show lights and shadow on human skin. I also learned how much work and practice goes into making art and had a new appreciation of it.

Q: What do you love most about Sharon Art Studio—whether it’s the instructors, classes, community, or something else?

A: I love the community and the instructors. It's a space where I feel safe, appreciated, and free to be creative.

I like how today’s Pool Design trends focus more on simplicity and natural integration. Space Landscape Designs has some interesting examples of this style.

The digital landscape of rhythm-based action has been redefined by the arrival of geometry dash meltdown. This specific iteration takes the core mechanics that fans have come to adore and plunges them into a world defined by industrial intensity and molten aesthetics. It is a standalone journey that serves as a concentrated blast of adrenaline, requiring players to synchronize their reflexes with a soundtrack that feels as dangerous as the obstacles on the screen.

I recently came across this platform and decided to give it a try. The experience has been quite good so far. The layout is clean, and everything is easy to understand. I didn’t face any problems while using it. It runs smoothly and doesn’t slow down my device. It’s a comfortable option for casual use.

It was while I was searching the internet for general information that I came across Valhalla Vitality, and their blog part seemed to be retro bowl fairly reliable. Due to the fact that the content appears to be organized and is not overly complicated, it is accessible to the majority of individuals.
