Ceramics

I have been working with clay and textiles for a long time, knitting and embroidery as a child, adding quilting and weaving as an adult. I began working with clay, exploring ceramics in high school and continue to explore and challenge myself with the many nuisances that clay allows.

My main focus is utilitarian objects around the house but have been known to include my art in the garden - from fountain to strawberry collars.

Art is a life long learning experience for me.  Art challenges me for where it can take me but it also lets me focus, create, express, and learn more about myself and the world and people around me. It gives me joy from what I can create with my hands and the possibilities are endless as to where I can go.
