Indigo Shibori Workshop

Discover how easy it is to prepare an instant indigo vat. Then dye your natural fiber clothing, linens, and fabrics in gorgeous blue with white patterns by tying, clamping, folding and wrapping. Watch your work turn blue like magic as it oxidizes. An additional color dye pot will be available for over-dyeing to create complex 2 color patterns. Please bring your own small clothing items to dye, such as t-shirts, socks or underwear made of cotton, linen bamboo or rayon, and or pillowcases and cloth napkins. Fabric items must be ½ yard or smaller. All dying materials will be provided. Make sure to wear old clothes you don't mind getting messy in, or bring a waterproof apron, and bring lunch or a snack.
