Gelli Plate Print Workshop: Printmaking Without a Press

This hands-on workshop introduces participants to making monotypes using a Gelli plate and water-soluble block inks. The Gelli printing plate, made of a gel-like substance with a sensitive surface, invites endless experimentation and reuse. The Gelli plate is perfect for use with brayers, brushes, stencils and found flat objects. The inks easily allow for layering, lifting, drawing, and other post-printing embellishments. Prints are hand pulled without the need of a press. No previous printmaking experience is required to have fun with the Gelli plate! All materials are provided.
