Foam Plate Printing Workshop

Foam plate printing is a low-tech way of printing without a press. First you will learn a variety of ways to draw lines, make marks, and press shapes into the foam plates. Next you'll learn to apply water soluble block inks to the foam plates using brayers and brushes, and then how to transfer the ink from your foam plate to paper. You can re-ink the foam plates many times to make multiple prints from the same plate. The class will include both demonstrations and hands-on work time. No previous printing experience needed. This workshop includes a $15 materials fee. All materials provided.
