November Raku
Instructor: Karen Koltonow
Date: Saturdays, 11/14 and 11/21
Time: 1-4pm
Price: $250
Raku is when pots are taken from the kiln while they are still glowing red hot. They are then placed in a material that catches fire easily, such as sawdust or newspaper. This starves the pot of oxygen, which gives the glaze a wonderful variety of colors. The first weekend will focus on hand building 1-2 pieces. The second weekend will be bringing your pieces to life using this technique.
Ceramics: Handbuilding

Dates: Fridays 11/13 and 11/20 plus Glaze Days

Explore a variety of ceramic hand building techniques during two Friday evening online open forum meetings. Then, come to the studio for an outdoor glaze day. Class price includes a 25 lb. bag of clay, a fantastic selection of glazes, and two firings (bisque and cone 10 glaze firing). This class has a detailed drop off, glaze, and pick schedule.
Rings

In this outdoor workshop, you will learn the foundation of making a simple ring band in silver. Explore techniques for cutting, texturing, and finishing your ring by polishing and patinas.
Cuttlefish Casting
Instructor: Erik James
Date: Sunday, 11/22
Time: 12:00-4:00
Price: $125
In this outdoor workshop you'll learn the ancient method of casting sterling silver into a carved mold made of bone to create one of a kind jewelry or small sculpture. No experience is needed. A $25 materials fee will be paid directly to the instructor at the beginning of class.
Holiday Petite Porcelain

In this online class you'll discover the qualities of porcelain clay while designing and making unique holiday ornaments. All skill levels welcome.
Well, Well, Welding
Instructor: Erik James
Dates: Sa/Sun 11/7-11/8, 11/14-11/15
Time: 1-4pm
Price: $350
Prerequisite: Prior class with Erik. You feel comfortable and confident with the torches and tools. This workshop is an opportunity to come and work on individual metal projects outdoors for 2 weekends.
