About the Role
Friends of Sharon Art Studio (FOSAS) is the nonprofit partner that helps keep Sharon Art Studio accessible, affordable, and community-centered. In partnership with the San Francisco Recreation & Park Department (SFRPD), FOSAS supports specialized arts programming, teaching artists, materials, equipment, youth opportunities, and community events. The Program Manager supports FOSAS programming and the day-to-day coordination needed for the FOSAS–SFRPD partnership to function well.
This work helps students of all ages build creative skills, connect with working artists, and participate in a vibrant public art studio in Golden Gate Park.
FOSAS is seeking a Program Manager to help keep programs organized, welcoming, and running smoothly throughout the year.
This role focuses on FOSAS-supported programming in jewelry and metal arts, fine arts, youth programs, workshops, seasonal programming, and the annual Spring Open House. The Program Manager coordinates program schedules, instructor communication, student communication, class and workshop details, and seasonal planning deadlines.
The Program Manager works closely with the Executive Director and coordinates with SFRPD around program timelines, catalog review, registration readiness, and facility-related questions. For context, this role coordinates with approximately 20 instructors per session.
This is a good fit for someone who enjoys arts education, clear systems, seasonal planning, instructor relationships, and supporting a strong student experience.
