INSTANT SCREENPRINTING: THERMOFAX SCREENS

Learn to image and assemble instant small screens (up to 8" x 10") of your own simple designs using a Thermofax machine. Print t-shirts, table linens, fabric for sewing/quilting, greeting cards and bumper stickers. Make scatter prints, print rainbow color prints. Learn 2 color registration and experiment with bleaching color out of dark fabric with these versatile screens. Inks are colorfast on fabric. $20 supply fee. BYO fabrics.

HANDS-ON MIXED MEDIA AND GOLDEN ACRYLIC COLLAGE
instructor: Tesia Blackburn

In this exciting experimental workshop you will be working with acrylic paints, gels and mediums, and also colored pencils and oil pastels. Fabulous surfaces like Micaceous Iron Oxide and gorgeous grounds like Acrylic Ground for Pastels will offer you a variety of new surfaces to draw and paint on. You will explore creating collages, stamping, and applying raised stencils. Please bring: Several sturdy surfaces to work on (heavy paper or card or board) and a selection of your favorite media - colored pencils, oil pastels, soft pastels, potential collage material (old magazines) and any stencils and stamps you have, and scissors if possible. Open to all levels of painting experience. All GOLDEN products provided.

PORTRAIT DRAWING WORKSHOP WITH MODEL

Drawing portraits from life is a challenging and demanding task.This workshop is for the intermediate level artist who would like to learn the basic proportions of the head and face, and how to apply drawing concepts to drawing from life. A live model will be present to draw from. The instructor will show through demonstrations each step of portrait drawing. Time will also be spent drawing specific features in the face.
