TAKING the LEAP: Drawing in Color
instructor: Jacqueline Ruben

Have you been wondering how to add color to your drawings, but don't know where to begin? This fun and informative workshop will show you how to transition from black and white into color. You'll learn how to create a variety of palettes which express your personal vision while becoming familiar with the color vocabulary. An opportunity to experiment with different materials will enrich your experience.

FABULOUS BEADED EARRINGS

Love Chandelier earrings or just need to fix your favorite pair of
earrings? This class will cover basic wire techniques and give composition hints. Students are encouraged to bring their own beads and treasures. Instructor will have an assortment of beads andfindings to complete several projects. Materials list will be available at registration.

SILVER CLAY OPEN STUDIO

Already take a silver clay class? Need more time to work on your own silver clay projects? Need pieces fired? Need pieces tumbled? Want advice and coaching on new pieces? Students will be able to fire, tumble or finish up to five pieces in this open setting. Prerequisite: PMC with glass, silver clay leaf class.

POLAROID IMAGE TRANSFER
instructor: Dolores Gray

Explore a unique alternative photographic process, the Polaroid Image transfer. Using Polaroid ER film and your favorite slides, we will create unique interpretations of your favorite photographs. The image transfer can be manipulated and, distorted, stretched, drawn and painted on. We will print on a variety of surfaces: glass, watercolor paper, fabric and wood. You will learn the basics of the image transfer process, using the Vivitar slide printer and Polacolor 669 film to create wet image transfers and theDaylab Jr to create Emulsion Transfers.

HANDS-ON CERAMICS with Bruno Kark
instructor: Bruno Kark

Come make globes, platters, bowls and altered cylinder vase forms with Bruno Kark! Demonstrations followed by "hands-on" assistance and explanation of technique. Dry stretching as well as special hand hold positions for pulling will also be covered. One bag of recycled clay will be provided, additional clay at cost.

SILVER LEAF WORKSHOP

Love nature? Love Jewelry? Bring both together in this silver leaf class. Students will learn how to apply PMC (Precious Metal Clay) to leaves and other objects of nature to create finished pieces of jewelry. Instructor will provide all materials including appropriate leaves. Materials fee of $45 includes 25grams PMC3.

FREEDOM of ESPRESSION with PASTELS
instructor: Sookyi Lee

Pastels are one of the most unique and beautiful color painting mediums. Following instructor’s advice, students will be able to explore the pastel color palette and their personal artistic expression. Students will learn basic techniques from charcoal sketch to pastel finish up and will complete two finished paintings in this 2-day workshop. Pastel painting is for your JOY! Materials list for pastels provided at registration. Paper and some basic supplies included in instructor’s fee.
